Does debt consolidation or credit counseling require good credit?

No, debt consolidation and credit counseling are a way for you to pay off you debt and rebuild your credit rating. Unlike a debt consolidation, loan which would require that a customer has good credit to obtain the loan, debt consolidation/credit counseling services work with the clients creditors to help reduce payments without obtaining another loan and sending the customer further in debt.
